The Best Breakfast Sausage
To get the absolute best breakfast sausage from our regular sausage takes just two ingredients. Sage and thyme. That’s it! Here’s a quickie on how to make magic.
Per 2 pounds of sausage, mix 2 tsp ground sage and 1 tsp thyme into sausage. Get in there with your hands and mix well.
Make your patties and cook them as you wish. I like to cook them to about 80% done in a pan, then I throw them on a tray with 2-3 tbsp butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar and toss that into the oven at 350. I let the mostly cooked sausage finish in there while I make the rest of breakfast.
